Hey,

Tyler here.

This summer reminded me how powerful it is when technology serves ministry. It’s been a full season at Apollos. We’ve had opportunities to work on some big projects with several awesome ministries.

There’s something special about using technology to help churches succeed. I wanted to fill you in on some of the latest ideas, updates, and the rollout of a really cool new tool.

Let’s dig in.

Apollos Tap Is Live

We officially launched Apollos Tap in July.

Churches everywhere are trying to find ways to blend digital and in-person experiences. This is a tool that can help bridge the gap between the online and in-person church experience.

With Tap, you can digitally engage with guests without downloading an app or setting up an account. It removes barriers so your people can stay focused on what matters most.

See how it works here:

The Church3.0 Podcast

We’ve had some great guests on The Church 3.0 Podcast over the summer.

The one I want to highlight here is Warren Bird. Warren just launched his five-year “What’s the Future of the Large Church” survey, and I can’t wait to see what he discovers when the results go live in a few months.

On the podcast, Warren did what he does best: shared insights into the large church and showed how we can use them to improve impact.

You can check out the conversation here:

Also, if you’re a pastor of a church with over 1,000 attendees (or you just want to hear the results when they go live), check out the survey here:

Team Building for Church Technology

Great tools are helpful, but they’ll only help you stay on mission if there are great people behind them.

I recently had the opportunity to write for XPastor. The topic? How to surround your technology with the right team.

I talked about:

  • Aligning church technology with mission

  • Building a strong implementation team

  • How we helped put this into practice with Seacoast church

From the Church, For the Church

We’ve had a lot of good thought pieces go live over the summer, too. You can read the latest from our team on the Apollos blog anytime.

For now, I wanted to share a piece that came from the heart. When I heard Subsplash had been acquired earlier in the summer, it reminded me why we do what we do. We are a company from the church for the church. We’re taking a different path from traditional “build it and sell it” business models because we’re invested in creating more than profits. We want to be ministry partners.

What’s New With the Apollos Platform?

Every update we make is about helping churches like yours connect with your people. Here are the latest updates already at your fingertips.

  • New AI Creator: You can now generate a complete outline for a multi-day reading plan and Apollos will automatically turn it into a fully functional in-app experience. It’s a faster, simpler way to create the kind of content that keeps your people engaged day after day.

  • Polls: You can now run polls! These appear in the app and show live results. They’re great for both in-service and online use.

  • New Prayer Experience: You can now go to your profile and see your prayers, delete anything that isn’t needed anymore, and mark others as answered, complete with a testimony spot.

We’re always working to improve the platform. Keep following the newsletter to hear the latest.

If you have any recommendations for what you’d like to see added, hit reply or send a message through our support form.

That’s it this time. Keep an eye out for more podcasts, updates, and resources in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for being part of this community. We’re in this with you.

Let’s keep building.
